A long overdue update

It has been a busy few years, with such a fun variety of different jobs, including 4K pan/tilt space cameras, robotic drum kits, satellite concepts, various bespoke 3D printed UAVs, and space mechanisms design/manufacture advice. Never a dull moment! Plan is to go into more detail with more frequent posts in the future. In the meantime, we shall update our website (and CV).

We are now looking to take on new work, everything from CAD to consultancy, so if you or anybody you know are interested, please get in touch.

Job completed for @RemapUK

A very busy year so far! More exciting updates coming soon, but in the meantime here is a job completed for a local client of @Remap – our client, who suffers from neuropathy, found that he was in danger of tipping his already modified armchair over when getting up. This simple safety device works in conjunction with the existing modifications to prevent tipping. And a great man to work for – always a bonus.

Drone motor mount design completed for Inertial Stability Systems #TOTAL #EAGE

A very fast turnaround was required on this job, to be completed in time for display on TOTAL’s stand at the EAGE Conference in Paris. From being given the go ahead, a design was created and delivered within 3 days, ready to be 3D printed in carbon. An efficient and meticulous client – hope we can work together again! Great podcast from The Infinite Monkey Cage @TheMonkeyCage

We always get excited here at Major Engineering Towers when engineering gets a specific mention. Listen to the whole thing, however at 13 minutes in there is some very interesting discussion on the link between the popularity of tinkering at home, and the shortage of good engineers.
