It has been a busy few years, with such a fun variety of different jobs, including 4K pan/tilt space cameras, robotic drum kits, satellite concepts, various bespoke 3D printed UAVs, and space mechanisms design/manufacture advice. Never a dull moment! Plan is to go into more detail with more frequent posts in the future. In the meantime, we shall update our website (and CV).
We are now looking to take on new work, everything from CAD to consultancy, so if you or anybody you know are interested, please get in touch.
A very busy year so far! More exciting updates coming soon, but in the meantime here is a job completed for a local client of @Remap – our client, who suffers from neuropathy, found that he was in danger of tipping his already modified armchair over when getting up. This simple safety device works in conjunction with the existing modifications to prevent tipping. And a great man to work for – always a bonus.
Well that went quickly, didn’t it? We are very grateful to have had a productive year with a good variety of jobs. May we take this opportunity to thank all clients and friends of Major Engineering Ltd, and wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
In conjunction with LimbCare, we recently helped out a REMAP colleague with the design of some new 3D printed lightweight joints and clamp for his superb (award-winning!) concept, which allows double amputees, both above and below elbow, to begin to feed themselves as soon as possible following surgery.
Following a productive 6 months providing consultancy services to SSTL, Major Engineering Ltd is now taking on new work. Please do not hesitate to make contact if we can be of any help to you and your project. Quotes are always free. For full capabilities please visit our website. CV available to download.
We always get excited here at Major Engineering Towers when engineering gets a specific mention. Listen to the whole thing, however at 13 minutes in there is some very interesting discussion on the link between the popularity of tinkering at home, and the shortage of good engineers.
Pleased to be back at #SSTL, this time providing #consultancy services. SSTL are the world’s leading small #satellite company, delivering operational #space missions for a range of applications including Earth observation (#EO), #science and #communications. #MEL will be carrying out #mechanical #design, #systems #integration and #build #support activities.
Great to hear back from @martyn regarding his speaker build. The build is finished and we have a happy customer. And they look great! With the client’s specification in mind, #MEL carried out #design work and provided a full drawing pack along with #manufacture advice.
